Terms of Service

Effective May 22, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of praeverto.gg and the related services ("Service") operated by Andrew Parr (d/b/a Praeverto) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

Account
Your individual login to the Service, created via email/password registration, Steam OAuth, or admin invitation.
Team
A shared workspace under a paid Team plan, owned by a single User and joined by additional Users via invitation.
Content
Any data you upload, generate, or store through the Service — including but not limited to Counter-Strike 2 demo files (.dem), match metadata, and saved scenarios.
Subscription
A recurring paid plan billed through Stripe. Free is available without a Subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an Account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service if a previous Account of yours has been suspended or terminated by us.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account. Notify us promptly at support@praeverto.gg if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses arising from credential compromise that you fail to report.

We offer email/password and Steam OAuth as sign-in methods. Account information you provide (email, username, optional FACEIT or Steam linkage) must be accurate. We may suspend Accounts with materially false information.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly, quarterly, or annual cycle. Prices and features are listed on our pricing page and may change with notice; existing Subscriptions continue at their then-current price until renewal.

Failed payments are retried by Stripe according to its standard schedule. If retries fail, your Subscription downgrades to Free at the end of the retry window. Cancellation, refund, and plan-change rules live in the Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

5. Team plans

Team plans are owned by the User who purchased them. The owner is responsible for invoices and for managing the team roster (inviting, removing, transferring). Team members can use the team's shared quota for uploads and renders; team Content is visible to all members of that team. Removing a member does not delete their personal Account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload Content you don't have the right to use, including private demos belonging to others or copyrighted match recordings used without authorization.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, scrape its endpoints in volume, or interfere with its operation.
  • Use the Service to harass, dox, or expose personally identifying information about other players.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute output from the Service without our written permission.
  • Use the Service in violation of Valve Corporation's Steam Subscriber Agreement or any applicable game-publisher terms.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of Content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, parse, render, and process that Content solely to operate the Service for you (and, for team Content, for the other members of your Team). We do not sell your Content or use it to train external machine-learning models without your consent.

Demo files are retained according to your tier (Free 14 days, Beginner 90 days, Pro 365 days, Team Beginner 365 days, Team Pro unlimited); after the window the file and the derived artifacts are hard-deleted. You can delete individual demos at any time from your Library.

8. Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of third-party processors to run the Service. Each receives only the data needed for its function: Stripe (payments and invoicing), Resend (transactional email), Cloudflare (captcha on registration), DigitalOcean (compute, object storage, and managed Postgres), and an external rendering provider for highlight clips. We also verify identity through Steam and FACEIT when you link those accounts, and ingest public match data from HLTV.org. The complete list with data-flow detail lives in our Privacy Policy §3.

Highlight render output is best-effort and may contain errors; you are responsible for verifying anything you act on.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, capacity, or external-dependency reasons. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from downtime.

10. Termination

You can delete your Account at any time from Account Settings; we retain it for 30 days in a soft-deleted state, after which private data is permanently removed. We can suspend or terminate your Account for material breach of these Terms, including violations of the Acceptable Use clause; we'll give notice where reasonable and may make exceptions for good-faith mistakes.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that statistical outputs are accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Trademarks and third parties

Counter-Strike® and CS2 are trademarks of Valve Corporation. FACEIT and HLTV are independent services owned by their respective operators. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve, FACEIT, or HLTV.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email (when you have one on file) and on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflicts-of-law principles. The state and federal courts located in Wisconsin, United States are the exclusive venue for any dispute arising from these Terms, except where prohibited by law.

16. Privacy rights

Data-subject rights — including access, export, correction, deletion, and opt-out of any ML-training use — are detailed in our Privacy Policy §5. Send requests to support@praeverto.gg.
