Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective May 22, 2026
Praeverto subscriptions are billed in advance. You can cancel at any time. The short version is the rest of this page — but the gist is: no mid-period refunds, but you keep paid features until the period ends, and you have full control of cancellation from your account.
1. Cancellation
You can cancel your Subscription at any time from Account Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. From the portal you can:
- Cancel the Subscription (effective at the end of the current paid period).
- Change billing period (monthly ↔ quarterly ↔ annual).
- Update your payment method.
- Download invoices.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to the paid features and any unused quota until then. Your Account is not deleted; it stays active and reverts to the Free tier at the end of the period.
2. Refunds
We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods or for periods where you have already used the Service. This applies equally to monthly, quarterly, and annual Subscriptions.
We may, at our discretion, issue refunds in cases of:
- Unauthorized charges that were our fault (e.g. we billed you after you cancelled).
- Material service-level failures lasting more than 24 hours.
- Stripe-side payment errors (duplicate charges, currency conversion errors).
Refund requests under these criteria should be sent to support@praeverto.gg with the subject "Refund request" and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within two business days.
3. Team plans
For Team Subscriptions, the same cancellation and refund rules apply. The Team owner is the party with cancellation authority. After cancellation, individual members do not receive prorated refunds — they keep team access until the paid period ends, then their Accounts revert to whatever individual tier they were on before joining.
4. Failed payments
If Stripe is unable to charge your card, it retries automatically over approximately three weeks. During the retry window, your Subscription stays active and you'll receive an email notification with a link to update your payment method. If all retries fail, the Subscription is cancelled and your Account drops to the Free tier — no balance is owed.
5. Free trial
New Accounts automatically receive a 14-day Pro trial with no payment method required. The trial ends after 14 days and your Account moves to the Free tier; no charge is ever made for the trial itself. To continue with Pro features after the trial, choose a plan on the pricing page before the trial ends.
6. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your Account pending resolution. We strongly prefer to resolve billing issues directly — please email support@praeverto.gg before initiating a chargeback so we can help.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in payment processing. Any material change is announced on the site and via email (when you have one on file) at least 14 days before taking effect. Subscriptions that renew after the change are governed by the updated Policy; the previous policy applies to charges that have already occurred.
